Dr. David and Dr. Margie McKeon
Dr. David and Dr. Margie McKeon are dynamic presenters and therapist who will leave you with a whole new understanding of relationship. What they have learned from doing advanced training with Dr. Harville Hendrix has contributed to remarkable growth in their own relationship and to the growth and healing of other couple relationships.
Dave and Margie are excited about sharing their insights about relationship with others. Their experience is that the most powerful place to heal and grow is in a committed love relationship. They enjoy assisting couples who are seeking to acquire skills that enable the development of a viable, vibrant, life- giving relationship. The McKeons believe in the sacredness of the couple relationship and are committed to helping those in a significant relationship activate the healing and growth potential in their relationship.
The McKeons received their doctoral degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas A&M University, Commerce, TX. David also did doctoral studies at the University of Leuven where he received a Masters Degree in Religious Studies. Both McKeons are Clinical Members of American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), Certified Imago Relationship Therapists (CIT), Advanced Clinicians, and Members of Imago Relationships International.
David is Past-President of the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and he and Margie are past Co-Presidents for the Association for Imago Relationship Therapy. David was also an Assistant Professor for Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas A&M-Commerce. Since 1983, the McKeons have been in private practice in Rockwall, TX specializing in couple therapy. The McKeon’s have recently moved to the Memorial Villages area of Houston, TX, where they now have a new office. In addition to regular couple counseling, one or two day intensive counseling sessions are also available.
In 1997, the McKeons were honored by the Truax Foundation at Texas A & M, Commerce, as Outstanding Alumni of the Counseling Department. The same year, they were given the Distinguished Service Award by the Association for Imago Relationship Therapy. David was also awarded the Distinguished Service Award in 1991 for his work in the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
The McKeons believe that relationship is a place to thrive and to become fully alive. They are committed to helping couples develop the skills and tools necessary to achieve the relationship of their dreams.
